I used to be a pretty good rock climber back in the day. (72-82)
Life and responsibility brought those days to an end 30 yrs. ago.
Got the climbing itch back a few months ago and got back on the rock.
It was great to be climbing again, here is a trip report of mine from a rock climbing web site.

AWESOME!!!
I did a lot of free climbing BITD.
Strong enough to have the capability, young and dumb enough to not know any better.
If I only had my grip back.
Way to get out and shake loose the cob webs.
Looking forward to many more climbing reports from you.
here's a couple from BITD.
First one is Hawkins Peak, 11 days after left shoulder surgery, in the early 90's. Just to prove I could. Stupid.
Second one is me standing in the middle of Horse Tail Falls in Desolation Wilderness. It's from the 70's looking straight down the falls. You can see my boots in the photo. In the water on the very edge of the falls; one slip and I was a goner. Like I said, stupid enough not to know any better.

I was/am too...started out trade in the early 80s, eventually ended up sport climbing into the late90s. Not much mountaineering, but quite a lot of alpine rock routes.
I've taken  my daughter out a few times, and to the gym a few. Would be fun to get a few folks together for a bouldering day or something.

This came up a few years ago too! Lets do it! Turtle rock bouldering session followed by beers at Marin Brewing!
