Bit of a dilemma , sold my trailer and bought a 5th wheel and can no longer use my rack for transporting my kayaks . Anyone here with a 5th wheel , how do you transport your kayaks .

Thinking I may go to a mini-x or a OK frenzy , any suggestions as to these  two or any others in this size range ? The 5th wheel has a bumper that extends a couple of feet and a couple of shorter kayaks should fit there nicely .

Thanks for your ideas , Dan

You can put a rack on most trailers.

Would a vertical layup mount at the back of the trailer work or will the yak be too tall?
Why so many typos ? You try typing on 6 mm virtual keys with 26 mm thumbs...

Put a rack on the cab of your truck. If you need more distance you can put a hitch in the front with a goal post. Kinda like this

I have had both the Frenzy and the Mini-X and prefer the tracking and stability of the X - JMO. Would a regular roof rack like a Yakima or Thule do for you? Super easy to mount and use - then remove when not needed.

No rack unless it does not touch the trailer at all , would have the CEO do deal with and that would not be good !

OOOPS ! Posted without my assistance , anyway I have a near new Thule rack and that is not going to work , damn , only used it maybe a half dozen times . Anyone want to trade a thule rack for a mini-x ?

Don't really want to invest in a front rack or ugly up my truck , so probably go with stacking a couple of 8-9' kayaks on the bumper extension .

We have a 5th wheel and intend on going with the front hitch mounting option.

I use one of these on my truck. It works great and it's inexpensive. I like that I don't have to lift up very high to get the kayak in the bed. It also has two loops built in to strap the kayak down. Harbor Freight has for around $40-50.

I put a rack on my 5th wheel trailer. I use a extension ladder to I haven't lost my yak. but be very careful around trees. I went all the way to north Idaho with a yak on top. I check it once in a while to make sure it is secure. I have a prowler 15
