The Gulf Coast is an absolutely GREAT fishery and WELL worth anyones 'Bucket List' of places to go.  You can easily fish, from 1 boat in 1 day, Bass, Catfish, Bream, Carp, Spec. Trout, Redfish, Strippers, Snapper, Flounder, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, Mullet, Tarpon, Triple Tail, Spanish Mackerel, Grouper, Snapper, Mahi-Mahi, Kingfish and sharks.  A 19' boat is all you need to put yourself on the fishing grounds.  If you have enough daylight and energy left, you can also snap up some crawdads, oysters, shrimp and scallops too....  You can do over half of these specias via kayak all within a reasonable paddle distance.  An AI would put you on ALL of these species within 1 day.

If anyone is ever looking for a guided trip, I have a few friends who are guides in Apalachicola, FL (just an hour drive away from the party town of Panama City & a couple hour drive from Desin, FL.

WTG Sonny!!!!!!!

Thanks for the report and pics!

When I go home I have a cooler I bring frozen abs/ling/monkey filets out in. Bring fish we catch or stuffed frozen chicken or turduckens back.

When they ask me at curbside what's in the cooler I just say extra christmas gifts that didn't fit in the suitcase...if they ask if anything frozen I just say no.

Haven't gotten busted...yet.   :smt002

Congrats again and thanks for sharing!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Lol...maybe...and when I go up to the curbside checkin I always tip at least $2 per bag and have the cash out and in hand (along with the boarding passes and IDs) where the guys checking me in can see it...little cash goes a long way sometimes.
