Don't get washed out the channel! You guys are obviously more hard core than me... I'm going to huddle next to the wood stove this weekend :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

We have jackets and hats and hand and feet Warmers.
The memory of those big fish cruising that far channel has haunted me for a few weeks. Gonna try something new tonite. As long as the weather stays somewhat manageable. Meaning under 20 winds and not another downpour.

The guy I saw slaying them used a pull up pause and up again motion. Looked like a single pull with a hiccup in the middle of the sweep... Seemed to seal the deal 3-1 with the other spooners I saw just sweepin it up and dropping it

Ahh the good old days when Amir,Tony, Ricci, Naoaki, Anthony,Gabe, ... and I use to huddle under the docks with wind howling ,white caps out in the basin... rain down pouring and still nailing the fish. Sleigh rides under the docks, getting wedge between the pilings, and crappie tree. Good times, I miss those days! ....NOW we have signs and security guards yelling at us- ONE HUNDRED FEET! :smt010

Skunked again. Got there at 330 and left at 645 due to heavy rain. I'm not an experienced kayaker so I didn't want to risk it more then I had to. I also think I need to prep everything before I go out in the water. I'm wasting to much time prepping. I'm not really familiar with tides and how much the water level goes up, but I did notice a significant water level change. Sorry guys, wish I had some pictures of some fish, hopefully I have better luck next time.

I also was skunked.
Launched at 330 am. Not a good idea. Was met with rain and gusts to 40 mph.

Got really wet. That's all.
