After a shark or bay ray on every damn cast using mudshrimp, finally caught (and released) this 56 incher at china camp.  PS. The mudwalk at China camp is no joke

Thank you, but there were some marin hippy tree huggers laughing at me walking back. They made sure they were long gone in their prius before I got back on dry land.

Thats a great fish! Congrats. The mud really tops the whole experience off dont you think? Its not everyone that gets to do it. Especially after landing and releasing the mother of all fish. Did you use live or frozen mudshrimp?

I did the Mud Men of the Brazos river back in  texas after a 10 mile float trip.  I can recall being up to my hips in mud, I am guessing this is along the same expierence.

not quite the same, its not up to your hips...but it is still a stinky and ridiculously crazy way to go.  i dont know if i would call it fun, but definitely an experience.

They love the Mud shrimp out there. Word has it that most every belly opened up is full of them mud's this year. Where did you hook him at China camp?
I can appreciate the Mud walk, it's so deep on that stretch........
