Anyone thinking of going crabbing on Sunday? I wanted to get over before the commerical seasons starts 12/1 next Saturday. Looks like the winds are going to pick up 10-20kts.  :smt006

Hi Dave,

When are you thinking of hitting the water tomorrow?  I am working tomorrow, but maybe able join you before I have to go to work.

FYI - commercial season delayed due to low meat percentage in testings (currently 16.1-16.7%, needs to be 25%).  Next test Dec 2 to determine if commercial season will open Dec 15.

Hi Brandi,
We were thinking of driving over early or coming over tonight just for the morning. We all go back to work and schoool on Monday. The wind prediction at 10-20kts.  does not sound like fun and our long drive are the critical factors. Thank you for the info on commercial season. And now if the weather coops we can go on a weekend coming up. :smt001 IS 10-20 kts. really doable?

Dave,

Here is the site I am looking at http://magicseaweed.com/Patricks-Point-Surf-Report/300/ which has a different wind forecast than http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/Forecasts/FZUS56.KEKA.html

Even then, forecasts are just that, forecasts.  Standing at the shore's edge looking at the conditions is the best way to know what the conditions are to determine if it fits one's personal comfort level.  I know, doesn't help with planning for a journey to the coast.

Let me know your plans.

Hi Brandi,
The boys scrambled for tomorrow after my forecast. Looks like another day for us. Thanks for the link.
