Salmon, Fishfinders & More

I read this post on Coastside and if you are targeting salmon, its a good read if you've got the time.

It talks about salmon and the ability to pick them up on a FF, and Darrel U (FISHON), shares a tiny bit of his knowledge about salmon (plankton).  I wish he'd share more, because he is one of the best salmon fisherman on the bay.

On Sunday, he was launching his Bayrunner out of Moss, just as we arrived there around 4am

PS, I'm 100% sure none of us on this board can pick up salmon on our FF's.

Yeah, that's some big money.

On tough days, this technology serves as a huge adavantage, for those few.

I've heard Darrel (a moocher) will often drive around searching for salmon before he "sees" the fish he wants to catch.  Whereas, the rest of us are blind to both salmon and the plankton layer.

Maybe it takes some of the surprise out of fishing, but on the other hand, its really cool to see your prey.
