Chef/Eric-

Nice job... I took my boys out on Calero Saturday. It was windy as heck. For sure I thought the ocean was going to be much of the same. Good to hear you guys were able to make it out and get some fish.

Eric-

Thanks for the call... maybe we can hook up next time. I'll be in touch and I know you have my number...

Right on Chef and Eric.  The two of you together make for a deadly team on rockfish.  If I was a ling, I'd be hiding and quivering under a rock!  :smt105

Way to go guys!  The other Eric and I hit limekiln on Sunday and did pretty well also.  Eric brought home 2 lings and I got one.  A 6 lb vermilion came home with me also.  Unfortunately Eric was the only one with the camera down there.  My pics are from home.  You will have to bug him for more pics.

Nice Red Nomad! I hope to see more of those at the Elk Derby. I believe it was Travis that caught one over 8 pounds!

I've searched and searched for "red rockfish" but haven't even seen a mention of it on several rockfish ID websites.  I have seen people call their catch "red snapper" but that is way wrong.  I have seen red-striped rockfish and dwarf-red rockfish, but they are listed as uncommon to very rare.  If you have a link or something to show me a red rockfish I would like to see it.

There is a chance I might be able to go Friday as well.  I'll let you know.

Paul
