Ron you need a different weather person. It's going to be nice, decent temps and no rain! The port stripers love this type of weather.

High tide is at 3:34 am and 3:47 pm.
Low tide is at 10:51 am.

the tide is only about 2.7 feet so it won't be much.

This is based on the station that is closest to the Port, it is just north of the port on the Sac river by maybe a half or so mile.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Look at NOAA they have one specifically for the Port of Sac. You're looking at the Sacramento River which is a couple hours differant.

Fishing for striper. They like swim baits, live bait, frozen bait and trolling works well also. oh ya, and jigging out near the middle on the drop off ledges.

The Sac tides are WAY different than the port.  Go with NOAA numbers. Good luck out there guys.  Hopefully you can find them, it's been tough for a couple of weeks.

From the link it appears there is no NOAA bouy's near the Port of Sacramento, the PDF even states there is no gage.  What they show is a forecast.  I have a NOAA app on my iPhone that shows all the NOAA bouy's but there is not one for the port.  It will be interesting to take the forecast and compare it to the actual station that is near by on the Sac.  See you all in the water tomorrow.

The Port of Sac calculations are forecasted from the Rio Vista station.  The sac river data is collected at Ist, but the tide numbers are Very different because of the elevation difference between the Sac river and the port.  Hence the need for the lock system between the two bodies of water.  I built a little portable app awhile back that has tide info on all three. Check it out here:

Sweet, that is killer.  Now can you make an app that I can put on my iPhone?  Or will I have to go to your website each time.  I know I know, give people a little and they want a lot. :smt002

Dangit :smt013 You all be fishin in my backyard (literally, I live less than 2m away) and I will be deep into the second-to-last weekend of soccer season with my three monkeys :smt003

This is my first season fishing off a kayak, and honestly my first season fishing at the port, I would love the opportunity to meet some of you guys and learn some things!

Welllll, two more weeks and we will see!
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Thanks.  You can just bookmark the URL on your app screen if you want.   I wanted to make something that was useful, easy, and worked on any device.  I'm hoping to add a map tool soon that shows all of my favorite fishing holes, including my hotspots on the Port, Clear Lake, The North Delta, American River and other local spots.  Maybe after I get it all polished I'll port it as an iOS app.
