Swell is between 6-8, but the wind is 5-15kts. Which is doable, but boarderline with the swell. Weekend looks shot, so this could be it.

I'm thinking of going out of Doran, and go MUCH  further out this time. Sounds like you need to fish deep to find crustations. Swells shouldn't be a problem in the bay. Also saw some great looking brown water in the bay. Never know, might be a few salmon still around.

About a 3 hour drive from San Mateo, what time is launch and can you post a launch location.  I am not familiar with the area.  Is that going to be a surf launch?

7am till the wind blows us back or 3pm,,,,which ever happens first. :smt003
it is 3min drive past Fort Ross ......it is a protected cove, so not much surf to deal with. I'm not good at copy/paste from Google maps, but i'm sure if you google Timber Cove and follow NORTH up HWY1 you can find it. There is a wooden sign in front of the place.....we can pay the day use fee when we leave.

Man, you're making this rough on me. I was thinkin' 'bout hittin' TC tomorrow but then I heard that the guys at Doran who went deep with the pots did well and I did pretty well on the lings there yesterday (found a sweet pinnacle  :smt003). But you never know it may be awhile before TC is a good option again...

Any place to drop pots at TC?
