Crabbing here was slow in general but it's "perfect" weather wise.  I enjoyed spending time camping with friends and OTW.  We ate delicious BBQed crabs for dinner and crab omelet for breakfast.  Hope the crabbing there will improve next week.  Here are some pictures of the trip...

Nice report Sonny, thanks. It was perfect weather and nice to see everybody. I took a young family friend out for his first kayak fishing trip. We dropped the pots and paddled across to the estero where we landed a couple nice lings and a pretty big brown rf. Came back to pull pots for 1 keeper dungie. Great day. Cant wait to hit it again.

Yeah, it was very slow for me. I hope others did well. I finally had my son to come along with me. Perhaps using my guns to shoot at Circle S was the bait for him to come out with dad. Unfortunately, we both forgot to bring our earplugs and shooting goggles so we did not get to shoot at the range. :smt011 See you all soon.

Low in number.  People did a little better in 40-50fow or deeper.  I think the crabs are not there in big number yet.  Hopefully they will get there soon.

Wait... Is it common to BBQ crabs? I've often thought about trying it, but couldn't find anything via Google so assumed it was not doable. Looks like you just tossed 'em on the coals -- any reason I couldn't cook them on a charcoal grill?

I think the crabbing was so slow because of all the warm weather lately. They are all still all out deep. I still believe this is gonna be a good crab year.......well at least thats what i keep telling myself anyways.

I caught crabs once in Bodega Bay
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I had a great time at Doran. Big thanks to Victor for letting Doug and I share his site on Friday night. The highlight for me was paddling on the bay at midnight, it was absolutely beautiful out there with the almost full moon.
I ended up with 8 nice dungies and 2 big rocks. We left early afternoon on Saturday.
It was a pleasure to meet all of you!
