New to Norcal. Whats the best way to make the already formed 3-rod holder attach to a Plano 1612 deep marine box?  For an OK setup do you reinforce the box to accommodate the gap between the two?  Also do you reinforce the box in any way for the weight of the rods? Any input would be great!

Hello and welcome :smt001 :smt006
I used plastic material from Tap plastics to create standoffs so the box would still fit in the (Ocean Kayaks) molded area that is specially made for the Plano box. I used Stainless Steel fasteners and a small amount of Goop to secure the Berkley Rod Holders to the box. Just use some washers on the inside of the box to help support the Rod Holders and you should be fine.

There is also this thread that covers hold down methods for the box

The search feature in the upper right hand corner of the forum is great tool.

Thanks for the heads up! Looks pretty slick. The crate look is a little big. Tryin to go light and simple. On the inside do you use large washers and/or bracket with the goop stuff?  Off hand are these boxes wormproof? Meaning will those plastic melt it. Do you stick a couple of Plano boxes in thar too?
Thanks

I checked out the tap plastics . Is that stuff the King StarBoard® HDPE Marine Building Material? One inch? Easy to cut?
