So last night I had some friends over and we decided to fry up an abalone. Over the last couple years I have be dicecting the ab guts in search of A pearl. Ive been thru dozens of abs with no luck, but last night while cleaning this particular abalone I found one! Two, Three, Four,Five,...So on all the way to ten.. Was super stoked as you could imagine! :smt007 Has anyone ever found more than one ab pearl in one ab before?

holy crap man. That's amazing. I guess patience pays off....but going through dozens without finding one doesn't seem too far from the norm.

WOW! Nice ones Andy! Ive found two one time that included a 70 carat one. That one in the middle looks pretty nice. If they feel like they have some substance to them, they are valuable. They also can be sold legally. If they feel hollow or light they are nice but not worth much. Heres a pic of my biggest so far. Youve probably seen it maybe. Awesome, awesome find amigo!

I call BS. I think he was just in crab mode, and smacked the abalone with a malet, and pulling the guts away from the meat he found pieces of ab shell. Might have believed one or two, but take the abalone tag off the fragmet before the picture is taken dude.
