Thats one awesome Rod Yester!!  Looks like this one will be a lot of fun.

You shudda seen me whiffing at Doran, if it hadn't been for the crab master Victor, I would've had nuttin to bring back to the wife and kid!

I believe I will be there(at the Port) after regrettably having to bail on Amador - due to my old ass butt getting kicked at the crab opener.

Since I only fly fish right now that nice rod will get me started on my new set of conventional rods.  The biggest fish will be caught by the secret purple fly!!!!

Good Luck!  Lots of 2-4 1/2 inch Delta smelt along with 2-3 1/2 inch schooled of Shad.  Hope that helps!

Thanks! For the last couple of years I have switched to smaller type clouser flies when we tie them up.  Been doing really good on purple in the 2 - 2.5 inch range.  So far my biggest on the fly is 9.75 pounds, but my buddy that lives in Disco Bay has gotten them well over 15 pounds on the smaller clouser.
