I'm going camping with a group of (mostly) non-fisher folks the weekend of November 3rd around Caspar State Beach.  It's not much of a fishing trip or anything, but I'm definitely bringing a couple rods.  I was thinking surfperch around the beach area.  Does anyone know of any decent places to fish from the rocks in this area?  I wouldn't mind tangling with a few rockies from shore.  Otherwise, I'll be content chasing perch.

I'd also like to poke around for chanterelles, but again, I'm unfamiliar with public access in this area.  I'd love any and all recommendations.  Thanks in advance NCKAers!

There is public access south of the beach (south end of the cove) on top of the hill.  They can direct you at the store if you can't find it.

MacKerricher is also a good spot to fish off the rocks.  Go down the boardwalk and follow the trails.
