I was told that the rod pod cover fits cannon rod holders, but I see a thread where people are using Scotty on them. So, do Scottys fit this stock cover??

Yes I have been using the plastic rocket launchers for over 2 years.  Holds pretty well even for trolling, just leash your rod.

Ocean Kayak and Cannon are owned by the same parent company Johnson Outdoors.

However the rod pod is cleverly designed to be able to accept most brands of rod holders, they just can't market it that way.

Either one will work. Just personal preference that's all.

Went to FW. Talked and tried. Scotty will fit in the holes, doesnt twist lock in and is a very tight push to get it in the lids holes. I like it to twist lock and come in n out easier than it does, so I guess i will stick with what i have.
