Hey everyone,

The kayak is pretty well rigged now and I have been taking it out for some striper fishing a waterfowl hunting but I want to be ready to step up my fishing game here and I have very little gear. So far I have a ultra light and light action rod I use for freshwater action and a medium action rod strung with 15 lb mono for striper but as I get more comfortable in my yak I would like to go after some saltwater action and some sturgeon and salmon in the inland bays and rivers. I do not really have the gear to get that done. Sure I could break out the plastic and make a significant donation to the local tackle shop while spending away my sons college fund but maybe some friendly bartering is in order.

I could be wrong but many of the fisherman I have known tend to have a deep collection of gear of which only half they actually put to use anymore.

Me being in the wine business tend to have a excess of wine around on a regular basis. I have found this to be a commodity some folks have interest in and might be willing to trade for.

Gear I am interested -
- A nice medium action rod and reel good for rockfish action. Does not have to be a set if you have one or the other I would be interested.
- spinning or bait casting setup good for salmon.
- sturgeon rod reel setup for San Pablo Bay Area.
Assorted saltwater tackle just tell me what you have to spare i guess.
Soft sided tackle bag/box.
Large net.
Some of those metal loop fish stringers or whatever they are called.

Would also be interested in a PB trip out for tuna and or salmon. Or also private blind access for goose and duck season.

Anything else you want to trade or think i need. let me know what it is.

Have a couple hundred bottles in the cellar so I am bound to have some stuff you like or can let you pick from what we sell at the winery. Would prefer to meet for trades. Shipping wine can get expensive and want to be sure everyone is happy with the deal.

Best,
Phil

I wish I had the items on your wish list to trade; however, until my kids stop going fishing with me I need to buy three of everything I need.  :smt001 That said... if you are interested in antique fish or bird chromolithographs I have been selling on ebay since 1998. My user name is troutattack. I personally have over 50 prints matted and framed around my house. The details on these prints are amazing. It started as a hobby collecting and then went out of control as I am always buying and selling. I have some as early as 1860 up to early 1900s. I believe I have about 500 listings currently. I have most species and always get more. I also love wine.... so if you see something on my ebay store you like perhaps we can do some trading. This is only something I do on the side... my day job is in education. :smt006

I don't have anything to trade. But FYI, those little soft sided lunch boxes make great Kayak tackle storage boxes. I find em cheap at thrift store's. I also have one to keep squid fresh. Light weight and they don't take up much space. Cheap enough to replace every few years once the zippers crap out.
Hook 1 has good prices on the Game clips, among other items your looking for.

good luck , Darin   A-K
