Tough to find a spot to stay at Tahoe during the summer unless you plan WAY ahead. If the date works count me in.
I have never dove altitude before Al. have you?

Never have. I know both of my computers adjust for alt.
Even with that, I would dive very conservatively.

I took my openwater dives in Tahoe, and my advanced openwater also.  Both times were at Sand Harbor.  If you stay shallow there isn't much to see, a few small fish, lots of crawdads, some rocks and lots of sandy bottom.  Directly west of Diver's cove at Sand Harbor there is a drop off that goes from about 50 feet to nearly 900 feet (if you believe the maps).  We did our AOW deep dives there and at 100 feet there are some trees!!!  Make sure to wear all your cold water protection, even if it is warm at the surface, the thermocline there is hellacious.  Talk about a major icecream headaches.

I've read somewhere there is a downed airplane in Tahoe that can be dove on, and I would bet there is lots to see in Emerald Bay.
