I spoke with Phil Segal of Tahoe Paddle and Oar at Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe regarding the first of a kind = Tahoe Kayak Fishing Derby. He was very interested in the idea. And with the help of Brad / Zilla, we may be able to get some cheap lodging = LAKESIDE :smt002 for this event. I will be in touch with Brad and Phil for further developements - I will keep you all in the loop.

Brad and I will also create a "Plan B" just in case the wind conditions are going to be a factor on the day of the derby. We may take a short drive to another sheltered location of Tahoe or just hit another lake close by.

Brad will get back to me with the best time frame for the best fishing conditions (no crowds, good weather)

But first, I'd like to see if we can get enough people interested? Anyone?....Anyone....Bueller?  :smt006

If the lodgings are nice I will go and bring the wife that way I can fish and she can shop. WAF+++++++
Dog friendly will also be a plus DAF(dog approval factor)

Tough to ignore that look when you get back from a day outside.

Sounds like fun.  There are several good campgrounds in the area near the lake.

Sounds interesting..I'll go if I have the date open.

I've always wanted to dive Tahoe. Might try to fit that in too if a dive buddy is available.
