Since we can't have all the baits rigged with hooks how are you guys rigging the hookless swimbaits? I am hoping to use all the extra small swimbaits I have collected over time.

I cut off the swivels on the top 2 arms and put on the snap rings to prevent the teaser swim baits from rotating since they don't have the hooks to keep them upright.

makes sense....how are you attaching the swimbait to the swivel/snap ring? Do you use a jig head and cut off the hook?

That is 1 way to do it.  I'm looking for a ring with a screw on the end so you can screw it directly onto the swim bait.  I saw someone using it and really like it.

I can't tell you the secrets to my tiki winning lure :smt005 I rigged it with all swim baits I just cut the hook off the top two and leave the bottom three.if you look closely at the pic I posted on the tiki help thread that sonoramike posted you can see where I cut the hooks off.good luck I hope you do better with it than I did.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I was also thinking of using a big bait holder hook and cut the bend off then slide on the bait and if needed and a drop of superglue. I figure the barbs on the bait holder AND the glue may hold the plastic

I started to carry a small tube. Have you had better luck with a particular brand. I also carry a lighter to mend torn baits.

I'm using Loctide gel and it works great!

I use what ever I have around. The thin stuff cures faster, the gel type fills gaps better but dries slower, there is a soft bait specific product also.

Eric, I tried "just cutting the hook & gluing" but lost a few baits that way & especially with the hollow body swimbaits. I switched to the Owner centering pin springs which are similar to the ones Mark posted the link for but have closed ends where you will attach the snap from your a-rig. Both the medium #5124-039 & the large sizes work well. Solid body baits are a must, for staying attached, using these 'twistlocks'. No need to glue either.

I did just what EWB did for CL event.  It worked just fine.  However Glen "G-Whiz" had a better system that he said you can buy at FW.  Anyway maybe he will chime in.

I googled and found they carry the Owner's twistlock at OPS.  Thanks for the tip Jim...

I only rig the bottom three with Swimbaits and put spinner blades on the the top two spots. I'm also seeing more three arm rigs and i think they're calling them Cali-rigs.
