After hearing the good reports of stripers in the San Rafael area it was time to saddle up and hit the water. Launched at Loch Lomond with Kmiles and Raynman10 at 12, the wind and chop was picking up. I managed to go overboard twice  :smt009 :smt012 :smt009 After I regained my composure and collected the yard sale,  :smt012 I tossed out a white swimbait and we proceeded towards the Marin islands. On the way I thought I got snagged on something but discovered that I foul hooked a stingray in the wing close the head. It made several runs and did not want to be caught. It had to be 35 to 40lbs. Kmiles thought it was more like 50lbs. This was my first blood in the yak. after a sleigh ride, Kmiles helped me with the unhooking of this unruly beast. no pics, sorry.  We then headed back to the islands trolling and casting along the way. we then decided to head towards the Brickyard trolling as we went and then returned to the marina. The other guys had hair raisers and rattle traps. no bites. The chop kind of sucked. Right as we got out of the water(around4) the wind died down and conditions were epic. Ill try again tomorrow. Happy fishing. Tight lines.
