This is a local butcher in my county back home. He offers great deals on meat packages, and has great deals on half and whole beef and hogs. I post this because I will be making two trips back this fall, once in November for Thanksgiving, and once again for the MGGA show the first week of December. We will be able to bring any and all meat orders back in Dec when we go up with a trailer. The beef is finished off three months on three way grain, and the hogs I am not sure what they finish with but they have fantastic pork and the bacon is out of this world. If anyone is interested in buying meat, hit me up and I will get you quotes. This is his latest add in the local paper. I know prices are through the roof in stores, so anytime I find a place to save on a good deal, I like to pass it on.

Eric, they are all grass fed, what makes it or breaks it is how, and how long they are finished. I believe these are three month/grain/penned. I will call him on the hog and beef pricing tonight.

cool thx. I think we'd like to try some (maybe the $100 package) when you go out over thanksgiving. And if we like it place a big order for your December trip? Would you be able to bring some back in Nov? Or can he ship? Not sure the cost.

Let me know
-Eric Berg

I Would like to give it a go.  The $300 package but I want the bacon and the the sausage so add in that and let me know.  Do the pigs come whole or cut up?  A nice little whole pig cooked on a spit for Christmas sure would work...

I am flying up this weekend, wont be able to bring anything back. I am going back up leaving the 4th of Dec and back the night of the 12th. When I am up there next week I will get the NCKA pricing, and on the Dec trip, I will be bringing elk, deer, and the meat packages you guys want back. I will post the prices as soon as I get there so that you guys will have a little bit of time anyhow. I believe they are cut and wrapped, but I will also check on whole/half carcasses if you are interested in that.

Hey Rich,

I'm down for either the $100.00 package or another. I'll wait to see your future post on pricing and if any other package/combinations exist; any elk available? I would like to look into some bacon and/or sausage too. Thanks Mike

Great guys, I will post current pricing next week when I am up there. Mike, can't sell my elk meat, but can surely swap some fish for some! Have not gotten on the water near what I wanted to this year, and kind of missing my fish taco fix! I will hook ya up.

Hey Jim,
I may interested in splitting a pig with you if the price is right. Would they cut and package there or is that something we would just take care of here.

Awesome! I think you can go either way, cut/wrapped would be more than carcass. They are easy to cut up, any grinder can make burger or sausage, bacon is tough and so are hams unless you have a good smokehouse.
