I have been snooping around here for the last few months getting a lay of the land and I finally took the plunge and bought our first Kayak. My wife loves to Kayak and we have a young son so I knew I could not get away with a single so I went for a WS Tarpon 130. We took it out on lake Henessey on Sunday and had a great time.

Now it's time to start rigging it up. I know. A tandem has it's ups and down but I am hoping to make it work. Next step getting the fish finder and rod holders setup then maybe start looking at a downrigger. Also have the wife pulling out the sowing machine to help put together a sort of Kayak Gillie suit for Duck season in the marsh. That should really start some trouble.

Anyone who has rigged a tarpon in the past that is willing to pass on some tips would be greatly appreciated.

Now time to start digging in between the  couch cushions for change to buy gear. And saving up and creating excuses to get that single mirage drive hobie!

Best,
Phil

Right on Phil, just take it slowly and keep going out. You will realize where you want things and where you don't. You can for sure make that tandem work just fine. See ya around!
