knowing what kind of fishing you will be doing (and your ht/weight, sorry) will help.

I came across that posting as well. I don't think you can tell until you see actual photos. I don't get going through the effort of putting up stock photos instead of actual ones, unless the kayak doesn't look that good.

Ive paddled and dove off one last year its a solid kayak and I liked it. $400 seem reasonable Im 6'1 and 175lb this would work in the ocean and bay.

That boat is the older Tarpon 120. Perception is using the Wilderness molds. They are both owned by Confluence Watersports. You can get a brand new one by the name of Pompano 120 at West Marine for about the same price. On this one I would by new at West Marine. Unless the CL one looks new when you look at it. It is a good solid boat in the Wilderness form. I would say the Perception is the same quality. hope you find it to be a good solid boat.

I've seen one of those at West Marine. Personally I am not impressed with the layout and bow hatch.  You would probably end up getting another kayak if you bought one of those.  Lots of dealers are having end of year sales to bring in new inventory.  Check out Ocean Kayaks and Wilderness Systems. Sunrise Sports in Livermore and Outback Adventures in Larkspur have sales now.
