Sure not looking good.  Perhaps, next Tuesday and on. I was at Fort Funston this afternoon, the entire ocean was covered by white caps and suppost to be continued through tomorrow.

Yep. I dropped by pigeon point today to take the family out. White caps and heavy wind. I think we might have to sit this one out. Plus, I'm a little under the weather with a cough and sore throat.

I am bummed, but I agree that is the right decision. I'll sit this one out. Look forward to meeting up with the San Mateo crew sometime soon.

Next Tues is good for me but I'm afraid the GWS are moving in. There were 4 that showed up on shark net, close to Pigeon point.

That's too bad.  I guess if its windy :smt010
We were out today sailing and fishing under the golden gate bridge. The Wind was howling waves were high Freak'n Awesome.  The tandem AI did good!
After a great potluck with the Ai crew we got our limits on a hot bite at the North tower of the GG.  I'm sure there will be a report soon.

Chester,
Last time I checked, there were some just outside the GG bridge and some up in Bodega Bay.

Looks like we all kind of taking the advantage of close-by, easy launch, and nice yields.  The risk is the high potential to deal with the landlord.  Hard to do a one day trip by leaving home at 3AM :smt011

I think they just everywhere.  The best way just not to let that drill too deep into your mind and be careful, that's all we can do if we want to do ocean kayak fishing along the California coast.

Bloodbath, I would've join you guys if I'm more prepared. I'm totally canceling any fishing trip for tomorrow since I'm under the weather right now. Good luck and be safe on that event.

I agree with Chester (Lifeisgood). I think sharks are everywhere, just a matter if their curiosity kicks in. How big were these sharks that were tagged anyways? They could be just babies for all we know. I try not to scare myself too much. Too bad about this forecast. Hope it gets better by next week. I'm off on Friday you guys, let me know if any plans come up.

Herb,
From what I understand these are 120 tagged GWS that Stanford has tagged throughout the years. These are most  of the adult GWS here in the West Coast. The research team follows these sharks very closely and track their movement throughout the Pacific Ocean, not just here. Most of the sharks, they follow over many years. They even have names and pictures of all these sharks. I realize that GWS are pretty much everywhere, but I feel that if you know for sure that they are starting to feed in a particular area, I would rather fish in different waters. Just my two cents.
