My canoe needs seats and fishing modifications

I'm in Sacramento and I can't find any shop that has seats to fit my canoe also all the shops do not know if I will be able to find seats or a away to make seats for my canoe

I have a 1997 Sportapal 12ft Model SS7S

I also want to add away to have my fishing poles on each side an a way to mount a fish finder and other awesome add-ons

If anyone has ideas or wants to help or show me how to make my canoe more usable for fishing I'm all ears

Contact Dan at the headwaters kayak shop in Lodi or PM him "Paddleboy84" he has a few canoes himself and may have some ideas. There is also a freind that comes into the shop who works on canoes. He may be able to help you also.

There used to be universal canoe seats and other parts on EBay. I have a canoe I need to rehab and was looking there and found what I needed, but failed to buy at the time.

I talked to his wife on Friday and they said that they do not have any canoe seats and they pointed me to Adventure Sports then they told me to talk to California Canoe & Kayak and believe it or not they said try Sierra Outdoor Center

Or get a kayak from Dan... they just posted a killer deal on a tandom. Canoes are so limiting and can sink. Sit on tops are safer and lend themselves to fishing setups with ease.

I really want a Kayak badly only if I had the extra money to buy one I would.

I'm looking forward to the Headwaters swap meet maybe I will be able to swoop me a kayak

Most of us have a buddy yak... hook up and ask if one extra can be brought for you to use.

You might want to look at one of the track mount systems. A little pricey but easy to move around. Because you are car topping, having removable mounts makes sense.
