Constant knee, ankle, and sciatica pain keeps me from doing a lot of things but I still avoid the pain meds. I have a small stash of Vicodin for extreme emergencies, being aware that the more often I take it, the shorter the relief of pain. I even resist using allergy medications, which means I'm good for the Kleenex business.

Were all here for ya!  Your making the right choice.  I think we've all been thrown our own demonds.  Lean on your brothers here and well all get through it together.  Stay tough one day at a time.

Hey man there's no one that can throw stones. We all have our own crosses to bare.  I'm sure you could talk to half the people  here and find a story similar.  Like Jim said water therapy is good, try to keep busy!

Thanks you all for the support and words of encourment. You all are amazing and so kind, I will be seeing my doctor in 2 weeks and go from there. I did see another doctor today and she told me not to stop cold turkey because it can be dangerous. She gave me more pills until I see my primary care doc. She mentioned that I have to wean this down and cam take some time. I was taking 10-12 pills of 10mg percocet pretty strong stuff there for a long time due to 4 motorcycle accidents in the past 6 years. Couple times I highsided on, Joes got hit by car splitting lane and the fourth on my dirt bike so I have rods in my body and when its really cold outside my body aches so bad that I can't walk. Well its gonna be hard battle but I am only 34 yrs old and have  a wonderful family so I have to do it. Thanks again for everything, all of you are another reason why I'm going to beat  this

Major major props to you Gino!  It takes a real man to admit it when he has a problem and I'm glad you took the first step.  You're doing the right thing man, and no matter how difficult it gets, never forget that you are doing the right thing!!  Stay strong bro!
