Sorry, Jeremy - I was mistaken to question you on your fishing report thread.  Congrats on a fun day.   :smt001

Jeremy

Good try and keep getting out there. You will get yours in time. Here is something I learned from Hai last year is that if you want to dance with the prom queen, you better get to dance early. Early is having your lines in the water before grey light. This means launching before 5 AM in complete darkness. BTW, those were some quality rockfish you released which are better than any I have ever caught in that area so WTG!!! See you out there.

Again, sorry for being the guy with bad news for you, but you've got the rules wrong.

I think I explained it very clearly to the DFG official and I got a direct answer to my question. It seems the DFG people would have the correct answer on something like this---it's their job, after all. So, you'd have to give me a bit more than "you've got the rules wrong" to convince me that you're correct in this case...

My mistake. I got this wrong, although it didn't matter, since I released all of the fish anyway.

If you're confused about the regulations, this thread has some useful info:

I really admire your tenacity to follow up.  Most folks would have taken  the phone call as the end, but you kept looking.  Sure I will see you on the water some time.  Sumo on an orange trident with a white hat.
