Northern California Coast

Hey all, is there a tourney up te coast around Humboldt ever? Would be interested. Especially considering the large fish that are caught in that area.

The Trinidad  tourney is further up there. It's a fun one. Big fish too.

Gimme Shelter is at the southern edge of Humboldt in Shelter Cove - next May's rockfish/lingcod opener we'll have the 7th annual.

Trinidad Rockfish Wars is October 13, I believe.

Trinidad can produce some great fish, but Shelter Cove has pumped out a large number of AOTY leading rocks, cabs, lings, greenlings and salmon, not to mention halibut, over the last few years.

Make the trip, dude! The GMS series is one of the best.

Shelter Cove has pumped out a large number of AOTY leading rocks, cabs, lings, greenlings and salmon, not to mention halibut, over the last few years.

This is my first year kayak fishing and Shelter cove was my first salt launch the day before the tourny an day of it was EPIC! caught the biggest fish of my life won the big fish award. Plus all the awesome people you meet its one of my most memeriable fishing trips ever.

PS Bring your fish kept to the measuring board so Eric Can get a shot of them on his Awesome Trophy Trough an not chew your ass on the beach for not giving him the photo op. Sorry again Eric wont do it next Year!!! I Cant Wait i might make another ShelterCove run this year when the hog Salmon come in i hope funds loosin up an i can get up there
