I have tried the Pinoy recipes above and found them too strong tasting and too fishy.

To Filipino's BBQing  the cheeks is very popular with something like teriyaki sauce as marinade. Jerry's Grill in Union City has them on their menu called "Panga" or Tuna Cheeks.  I tried cutting up the tuna heads for bbq but its a pain.  You need and cleaver and can chop of your hand if not careful.

I butterflied the head and cut off the collars/belly strips and did them separate from the main head.

Rubbed sesame oil and sprinkled rocksalt, put in some cilantro and ginger slices and wrapped in foil and put in BBQ on high heat

5 minutes on each side for collars/bellies and 10 minutes on each side for head.

Little ponzu sauce for dipping.
