Late late report from Albion

Gabe, I am very sorry for your loss but know your pop is in a better place and will love you always. I cared for my grandpa much the same way as he was passing away and remember brushing his teeth and washing him when he could no longer......just like he did for me as a baby. His last words to me were "Closer to God". Thanks for sharing your story Gabe and I hope to see you out fishing again soon bro. jim

Thank you all for youre condolences and inspiration,Muchas gracias.I had written a long ass page that I dont see on the page?I feel I have to tell you the rest as  this is a report.When I left my home and put pedal to metal,whithin 15 mins I get a call and was told that dad  had passed and I say bullshit I just left him and they say sorry  youre Papi is gone .Iwhip around and found it to be true.Imust of had 30 to 40 family members there in5 hours,most importantly my mama ,brother and fam and sis and fam andaunts ,unclles and friends of his.The problem for me was I had trained myself to be ready for this since I was alittle boy and all through my life and felt had what it took to take this.Boy was I wrong .Soafter greeting everyone to the house I hugged and could not stop shaking and crying,so after 5 hours I had had enough so I told my fam you cellebrate and mourn the way you want and please allow me to do the same ,myway

so sorry to hear about your father gabe...my grandma betty was asking about him a few weeks back when your name came up with me and my uncles. ill let her know . sorry i missed you this year at albion man and be strong. we will catch up soon

I told them I had to go and to pleasse let me go,reluctingly they did  with the exception of my eldest nephews who are 6-2 and 6-3,225 and 245,my big boys,who get ahold of me as im oppening my door.They say to me wejust lost our Papi and we dont want to loose you!I plainly stated my case and prommissed them Id be good and call uppon arrival.So I put pedal to the metal and cranked up all my Satriani all the way there ,heavy for me,and felt my fathers blessings.I arrived @ 11-30 and was soon welcomed by Ray, La pulapu,and his crew who were so welcoming,Gracias!!!

I called my nephews and let the know i was ok.I went back and was verry welcomed by Ray whom right away asked me if i whould like a beer,some food and a place to crash,so Im no dummy I got a big hugg from him and spilled the beensand waswas feeling like ,wow,this is right for me.I made my way to my other brothers camp,Andys,and the A hulls and was hugged and fortified inmindbodyand spirit,and the other spirits :smt044Muchas Gracias Hermanos!!Its like this for me I knew I was  On a mission fronm god and I had to fill the card but in the meen time I was going to enjoy the ride.A huge thanx to Jeddmo and his gourgeous,loving,nourtouring and hell a cooks Nation,but for mainly looking out and over me.

Sorry for the chopped up report but it the only way for me.Ravensback let Linnell I had another gourgeous blonde in mind while misspelling her name :smt002That Friday night so many of you held me up in my time of need I can not name you all,but thanx.A supper special thanx to Batt whoom without concideration to his well being came to my rescue.To team Slayride,you guys have had my back for a number of years and I whould be a complete mess withought youre wissdome and tutallage,Craig,John,Allen Patric,Jim,muchisimas Gracias!!!!so on Sat morn I get readdy and my Yaks almost on the water and I see alot of  the best coming in and looking green and was informed that its not pretty out there.Bird gives me the best intel as  he assited me out and warned me but I told him ,Im  on a mission from God ,and he understood and wished me well.I had 3 poles ,1 for trlling 1for mooching and 1 for rockies

so after heading towards the whissle and no luck,I found structure about 2-50 yards from the wash rock.I felt verry safe @ that distance.I marked 70  then 25 then 15 and saw fish.Iturned around and and set up for lings.The fish were around 25 to 15 deep and I startd to get them ,one two ,then Iget this hogg shaking his head as I had my right hand with pole pull to my right and as I was going to set dragg ,I touch the lever and get ready to strike left and pull himm out of his cave a wave comes from the left and dunks me.Iwas embarrased but righted my yak ,got paddle on left hand was ready  to go then I see my loomis with my 401 Calcutta,mybaby,barely hanging on to my right.So I quick reach to get it and ,blam,from the left again,inI go again.

so by this time I was wekened and cold but thought I had enough strenght to fullfill my mission,so got the jak allmost over and wham.It came dom on top ff me,then I freeked,I grabbed my radio  and forgot to say whoom I ws where i was  and all I could think of was to push all the buttons and yell ,[Help,help, help] then I scooted towards the back and used Adams tecknique of using the  scupper holes to hang on and kept  yelling for my life!!!All of a sudden I see this white yak whith a bunch of paddles and a dude charging towards me.He was paddlin so much it looked like  he ha d three paddlesand it was Batt[we need to talk] then I see a bunch of Yakers comin to my rescue.I then knew I was ok.The reality is Batt  and all ,especially the moter boter who came to my rescue ,I put them in danger,so I need to rethink my selfishness.I humbly appologice for puttin you in harms way.All in all I think the powers to be sayd ,no youre leaving two behind instead of taking two.Ilost my two favorite poles and a shit load of gear.On a good note I made it.Im having a hard time  with this custom of mourning for 9 days ,after the burrial.I thoght it was 9 days after the death.Im done this is just too much for me,I gots to get back on my  Yak and get him two.I knew I went to the right place  to cellebrate with my People,Gracias!!!!Get em and Get em Big,Gabe
