When we were in Albion, my in-laws Don and Sue visited us and stayed at the Albion River Inn. We all took a walk out to the bluffs on Thursday where I filmed the cove with my time lapse and kite rigs. This is the time lapse video. Looks best on full screen HD. I'll post some kite photos after I edit them.

Hope you enjoy the view,
Al

Thanks Al!
I just watched that with my wife, trying to get her excited about next year. Loved the video!

Al........................ with the music and the sweeping views you add to the mystical mystery of Albion. It made me immediately think of all the smiles I saw over three days there this year. Fantastic and peaceful.

Nice job Al!  I have to ask.  How did you get the zoom effect with the GoPro?

+1 Had the same question. Also, what frame rate? Set up on a small egg timer?

Thanks,
Doug

Thanks for the nice comments. I had fun making this one.

The gopro was mounted on an Ikea egg timer and clamped to the fence rail.
The camera was set to take a shot every 2 seconds.

The zoom effect is done with the editing software. With Sony Vegas Studio there's an option in the time line to pan, crop and zoom. They call it the Keyframe Controller.

super cool video! can't wait to see the kite video!  can you imagine the time lapse you could get if you attached the GoPro to the bouy out in the water?  it has been 30 years since I lived at Albion and I still remember the sound of the bouy.

Very cool view of the Cove and how the fog can dominate the coastline.
