Been awhile since I have thrown out a report. We had to cancel our family camp trip to New Brighton this year, we were all pretty bummed and we are looking forward to next year.

Been a busy summer but I have still found time to fish and maintain my sanity.
Some of this summers high lights so far:

Did another Black Pearl mother-ship trip in June, we fished Catalina and Santa Barbara Island. Hit the jackpot again with a halibut, great times. The Black Pearl has moved up to Morro Bay so the 20 minute drive to the boat is over, bummed, but hope they do well up north.
Other than that I hit some local spots around the South Bay and of course launched from La Jolla a couple times a month as usual.

Here are some high lights since my last report.
Black Pearl Trip:

Santa Monica Bay 21Lb Halibut:

La Jolla 30Lb Yellowtail, went 2 for 4 that day released one and took one home for some delicious sashimi:

A couple of days ago back out at SMB, fishing alone I got a couple of nice halibut, The biggest one went just under 35Lbs:

So it has been a good summer,
bummed about missing NB Beach this year, but it looks like this is shaping up to be a summer to remember for kayak fishing addicts up and down the coast

Take care my Northern Brothers, hope to see you soon, Tight lines and Big fish to all
Don

Thanks for sharing your SoCal fishing trip with us Don.
