I had a great weekend there. The bite was on all day, both days. I got about 8 lings on Sunday, two reds, cab. Most of the lings were of legal size. Double ling hookup. Someone had a tiger/red on the beach.

The water is amazingly clear. My neck is still sore from looking down. You can paddle around the kelp until you see blacks underneath you, drop a line and watch them take it.

I got a 30 inch ling, a larger one to the yak, and something huge swiftly took my offering into the rocks where I couldn't budge it. I've gotta thumb my spool more.

One ling coughed up a nice mackerel/skipjack? on my deck. I mooched it and got tapped, but the 20 lb. line broke when I set the hook. I trolled a watermelon around for about an hour - nothing. I didn't hear of any salmon action.

You guys are gonna have a great time. I should be there this weekend.
