My son Jackson and I met up with Al around 6:30. Easy launch in beautiful conditions. Jackosn hooked up on a nice bass and landed it right off the bat using a popper. I tried a floating rainbow trout Rapala with no luck so decided to go to the other side where it is deeper and troll. Diving plane, dodger and watermelon Apex to no avail.
Jackson's fish was the only one caught between the 3 of us.
As always it was nice to get out and always a pleasure to hook up with Al.

Nice report Tote.  Thanks.  That's a tough place to catch fish!  How were the water conditions?

The water was nice and flat, but the vis was poor...real green and muddy. I went west to the south bluffs to check the deep waters for fish and didn't see much. I really enjoy kayaking on this lake but have never had much luck fishing.
By the looks of it, a big panfish could win the tourney.

Jackson: good job outfishing two old men!
Tote: thanks for sharing your p13 with me. Had a nice morning on the lake.

Keep looking in that lake. Eventually, if you are very persistent, you will find a largemouth haven. Nice warm backwater with lots of cover and bait. Perfect kayak territory, provided you don't have your rods in rod holders, but instead, on your deck.
