i have caught many salmon but never off a boat or even a yak. as much as i wanted to start catching my favorite fish on my yak my work schedule has not been working with everyones hook up. so I went back to what i know best and that is to catch salmon off the banks in my neck of the woods. i went out today to the spb area and put in some time for a 1000 casts. the weather was beautiful the water was green and clearer than ever. 15 total fish when i left with the biggest pushing high teens maybe even a 20lber. mine was a nice native jack and the one that may be pushing high teens.
after the salmon run, my buddy decides to troll some stripers in rodeo/hercules. landed over 20 and bagged 2 nice 5 lbers(maybe even 6) that were pretty chunky.(pics and new topic report to come)
