Over the years i've dragged my kayak across all types of terrain (Rocks, Sand, water, mud) you name it. The keel on my hobie is starting to wear out. I was wondering if others have the same problem and does anyone have solutions? Found this online but would be open to other suggestions. (Of course I will not be getting black...sorry Mel and Adam)   :smt003

Keeleeze is good stuff. I put a few feet on the bow and stern of my revo. It's not the easiest stuff to work with. I use a heat gun and metal hand roller for installs at the shop. It took me about 3 boats to get the hang of doing the sharp curves.

Fellas.... save yourselves some money and give JB Weld a try.  I learned that JB Weld makes a great keel guard when I was visiting a big Hobie dealer that rents out kayaks and canoes.  The guy at the shop said it adhered better to plastic then those expensive kevlar keel guards.  Just make sure the keel is cleaned well and roughed up before painting on a strip of JB Weld.  Here's a pic I took....
