Is the top one a china rockfish? it doesn't have that yellow check mark but it does have that blueish specks on it?

also is the bottom on a yellow tail rockfish?

Pretty sure the bottom one is an Olive...not sure about the top one...pretty fish though!

The top one is a china. The yellow extends to the dorsal fin. Tasty!

Looks like a China... can be confused sometime with black and yellow rockfish though. the bottom is yellowtail, also known as olive rockfish...

Olive Rockfish (Sebastes serranoides) and Yellowtail Rockfish (Sebastes flavidus) are different species. That looks like an olive, also called a Johnny Bass down south.
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

so thats an olive.i caught a bunch of those a threw them back cause i couldnt identify it.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
