Sonoma Coast 8/4

Lookin gto head up and grab some abs and fish. Might end up going to Salt Point to launch or  just hit Timber Cove. Let me know if anyone is going out.

I'll be at TC first light, Green Tacoma.   

WX looks good, so most likely diving for abs and uni first, then fishing till noon or so.

Hey guys. I'm in Pinole. How far is that drive? What time are you leaving the east bay to get there early? I'm just starting to look into rockfish trips. So far my only salty yak trip has been in San Diego with no surf at all for the launch.

I'm up there Saturday and Sunday while my wife goes wine tasting "with the girls". See you there at 'round sunrise, fellas.

Sounds good fellas , I be rolling in early. It is around a 2 hours drive from Pinole so plan on that. Nice low tide at 7 am so will be getting some abs first then fishing after. Might drive up the night before and drink on the beach or overflow parking at Salt Point.

Just curious. I heard that TC wasn't good to access by car but are there other spots nearby to launch and are accesible? I got a little Civic. Thanks.,

Civic will do you fine at TC, there's a bit of a steep hill and the turn around point can get tight, plus parking at the bottom
Is limited. All that being said I've seen sledge take his truck and camper down there, you shouldnt have a problem.

My sedan does fine all the time. Just dont go into the sand and stay on the asphalt parking lot. Looking forward to the report

    I was planning on following you around for my first trip up there. It looks like there's a few guys going still so i'll copy them.

Sorry I can't take you around on saturday but if you are up there on Sunday. I most likely will be launching from Salt Point Gerstle Cove, feel free to join in.
