I took my bother in law out a month ago and he's hooked.  He wants to go again, but the standard OK seat killed his back ( he's always had a bad back)  Hoping one of you guys has a high back seat with more support you are willing to part with.

Also looking for an option to my trusty pole spear.  I'll mainly be dinking around in the kelp and rocks, so don't want anything that long or fancy, but it would be nice to have something with enough punch to occasionally hunt halibut. Maybe someone has upgraded from their starter gun and willing to pass along for a fair price? Thanks for looking!  :smt006

I still have a Seairsports Pacific Angler seat for sale. Itis last years model. Only difference from this year is the seat thickness. New one has a little more padding. They are about $175 new. Mine is new with the tags. I will sell it for $135. This is a great seat. I have one that I use at least twice a week. I can spend all day in the seat and my butt or back rarely hurt. The back is 20" tall. It has 2 rod holders, I use them for gaff and club, seat pouch, drink holders, tool holders. This thing is awesome. Here is a link to the new one. I really need to sell my spare since I am not working and Albion is around the corner.

Rob,

That is a nice looking seat, but I don't know if I need something that badass!  Especially since  my brother in law would only be using it a few times a year.

That riffe comp 00 is a great gun for up here for hole hunting and low viz conditions...

I have killed plenty of fish with that same gun, and if you get beefy bands you can take down big fish at close range.

If the legendary BigJim says it's good, it has to be!  I'm not sure I can afford such a nice gun, but it is exactly the type I'm looking for.

The Tall Back Outfitter is a tough seat not a lot of padding but tough as nails and good support. It was my fisrt seat and I still use it for river fishing.

I bought one of those nice 'Surf To Summit' GTS Expedition kayak seats a few trips back and haven't looked back since.  They have a lot of padding (2") and a good mount of adjustment.  Nice highback design @ 18" tall.  The bad, sticker shock @ $200 new.  No sense in being uncomfortable while on the water.
