A hole PB almost killed me/us 7-24-12

I'm glad you're okay Chad. Heck that jerk couldn't "see" you!!! Hell I can pick you out at over 200 yards away with all the stuff you have standing tall in your kayak, even with a swell. 

I am always watchfull of the boats due to the jerks that don't pay attention. Atleast you didn't "gaff" the guy. As with Mooch I too have a short fuse and probably would not have kept my composure. It is good to see that most guys here are givig lessons on what to do right like call on channel 16 and report the idiot.

There is an article somewhere on the net where a guy actually got run over by a PB. His kayak suffered grave wounds and if it wasn't for his split decision to depart the vehicle it would have been him.

that guy should have been cited or arrested. If someone did that to a biker , using a car, they'd be arrested. Wonder if anyone on the jetty saw it?

I work in Salinas Valley Agriculture.  There are workers eating and taking breaks by the sides of dirt roads.   I don't speed up to create dust as I pass them,  I slow down so they can enjoy a break from their hard work.  This dude is a douche.  I guaranty he is one miserable SOB and his life is already falling apart and this is just one example of it.  His karma payment will probably reaching down to gaff a 19" salmon, slipping and gaffing his arm.   This just pisses me off.  I'm glad you showed the restraint you did.

Glad you came out okay Chad and way to go on restraining your anger.  I wonder if you can call the authorities and report him as a drunken boater that's endangering you.  It could be he had a little to much to drink.  I think the coast guard and confiscate his boat if they find him over the limit.

There was a dive boat that ran full speed through the fleet at the red can during PIF.  Even the PBs were giving the guy the finger.

I used to keep a couple of bank sinkers close at hand durring the summer down in SD bay. It's worse when the driver waves at you with a cocktail in hand and thinks that it's ok to be with in throwing distance of a kayak at full speed.

What a dick.  Glad nobody was hurt.
