Great Pictures and Post Patrick...almost like being there. :smt002   Seriously though, the whole trip was another Great Adventure with old friends, new friends, and most of all my Son. My time in Los Cabos with the wife and then traveling up to the East Cape with Patrick was true joy. As Patrick posted there are many new campfire stories to tell...here is one in advance...

The water was flat calm...the air was hot and humid so we took any advantage to stand up and "air the bum". Once while standing and fly lining a bait I took a misstep, stumbled, started to fall towards the bow, reached for the chair to steady myself and the chair released! I managed to right myself and was left standing in the kayak...fishing rod in one hand.. beach chair in the other. That's one picture Patrick missed.

Maybe next year a group of us can have a big caravan and fish/camp our way down the Sea of Cortez. My feeble mind races with the possibilities! We could split up the trip with some driving all the gear down and then flying back while others do the reverse to maximize our time.

About the socks ...they are SPF 1000

Oh, many of you may recognize this fellow pictured below

Damn... Mel keeps saying that we should make another run down there one of these days. No joke... you guys were fishing right in front huh... that's awesome... That place is just a great all around place to hang out.

I remember Mr. Familiar with a lot larger gallo in his lap. Nice to see his smiling face.

You guys do it right every time...

Freddie

Sweet!  I so need to go there.  Maybe next year!  Hearing about trips like this is what got me into this sport.

Thanks for the report, I once took a 10 day road trip dow Baja. One of the best trips in my life. I would love to do the trip with a kayak. When we camped on the beaches on the Sea of Cortez side we would dive for our dinner. We had lobster a few times.

Honeymoon..... WHAT???? Did I ready that correctly? :smt003

My wheels are spinning as well.  I just need to find a ride a bit more suitable than the old Volvo sedan to cope with all of the topes (speed bumps) and dirt roads.
