What time are you thinking of leaving Monday? Will it be packed down there?

I will probably be up for heading down on monday.  If you don't get any takers from the bay area, we can ride together from monterey.

yeah - I truly enjoy hanging out with "Hunter - the chick magnet"  :smt007 I'd like to take him out on the yak - while he can still fit on the tankwell of the Prowler! But being a lab that he is....his instincts will tell him to "jump and swim"  :smt011

He belongs to my boss....who is currently on vacation :smt013

Conditions look pretty jackass this weekend down there.  Take that into account and stay safe.
I may go down on monday if it clears up, but the current report is pretty disheartening.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

From the report, Friday and Saturday are pretty nasty. I don't have forcast for Sunday & Monday. I am interested in heading down Limekiln again Monday.

Martin - we could carpool if you still have the spot. Do you bring the tandem again?

I ws down on the southcoast Tuesday and Wedsnesday. The weather was perfect on Tuesday, making for a killer day on the reds and lings, however, by the afternoon the swell was building, and by the evening it was near impossible to get out. Huge swells and lots of windchop on Wedsnesday. I'd be careful and follow your NOAA reports. The weathers off for this year, about a month behind what can be expected down there. I spoke with my buddy up on Lucia ridge and he said everythings been off for awhile now.

So judging from the below report, is the advice to save the gas and hit up Loch Lomond for trout instead?

SAT...NW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 5 FT. W SWELL 5 TO 7 FT. .SUN...NW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 5 FT. NW SWELL 5 TO 7 FT. .MEMORIAL DAY...NW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 4 TO 6 FT.

I've still got a few rockcod in the freezer so its not like i'm dying for cod.

Yeah I am going to hit someplace else this weekend. I love RCG fishing but I want to hit it when there is a lightly better chance of getting out and back without getting tossed.
