The salmon bite has gone cold. Lots of skunks today. I would bring squid and target butts and ghosts.

Damn, that's a bummer to hear. Thanks for the intel Scott. Hopefully we manage to get into them tomorrow.

It was a wasteland, very little bait. Fished 150-210 with 10 of nCKAs finest.

Saw plenty of boats out by the Pt Pinos buoy.  We could always switch the launch to Coral St. and try Pt Pinos area instead. 

Some of the old school local fishermen tell me that nothing bites when the south winds blow.  South West winds were strong yesterday and right now about 15 mph from the South West.  Not sure if there is any validity to this theory but the fish sure are not biting.

JJQ, that may be a good idea.   My cell is 831-970-0570 if somebody wants to txt or call me last min.   JJQ I'll follow your lead for now.   Your call as your the most local.  I'll keep checking the thread for everybody else's thoughts too.

Been a bunch of squid boats working Lover's the last several nights. They're gone, today. Could they have scattered the bait?

My current thinking is to hold off until Friday. That will be better with my work schedule.

I went out on a party boat today off pt.pinos for a while... nothing there,at all... Then went of mulligan and moss landing ,about the same.... 8 salmon and 4halibut for 25 anglers. VERY SLOW !!!

well I have a work excuse to go so I might as well still try. Is the coral st. launch that little cove right at the west end of coral st? I knew the bite couldn't stay that good for too much longer, damn...

Thanks for the info.  Let's just stick to original plan since Pt. Pinos is no better.

Loaded up ready to go....canceling, I feel like crap.  I'll hope for next week.  Friday is too busy at work.  Sorry guys.

JJQ, what's your plan now?

I've read that there has been 2 shark sightings in Monterey in the past 3 days.
I think I'll sleep in and fish from shore. Be careful if you go alone

Me and Dablazer still plan on hitting Lovers by 630.
I think yakuza will also be in play.
If you guys go to Coral street can you give us a yell?
