The custom bar @ near completion.  Pictures before the door & drawer hardware was installed along with the wine glass rack and electrical routing.  Still have a few loose ends to tie up.  The foot rail hasen't been installed yet either.  Enjoy the progress photo's however.  Hard to imagine this is being installed in a garage upon completion.....

Polepole is the logo keyholder.  I know there's a vector file floating around but we gotta clear its use with the boss.

I'd not about to do ANYTHING logo related without the concent of the "owner".  If anyone has a possible interest factor in logo related items such as laser cut keychains made from metal or NCKA bottle openers (metal), I have a local source that will charge us a nominal rate to have a CNC laser cutter make a run of parts for us.  Just a thought!

I am lucky enough to own a couple of companies with lasers. One for art and fun
www.joulebox.net
and one for fancy pants machining
www.peridotcorp.com

Lasers are amazing for cutting and engraving fish pics.

Patrick!  It's Bill from SMP Tech!  I had no idea you were a kayaker!  I've got some sketches and a solid works model of a can opener keychain that would be a great NCKA "swag" item.  I'll drop you an email at work tomorrow to discuss!

Hey Bill! I'm in on the opener. I am hauling my pedal yaks to Spicer Meadows reservoir this weekend.

pat!  I'll be at the Pif event in Monterey on Sat.  I'd love to do a joint venture with you on this!  I'll donate what I can for the cause.  If I can break away from work one day I'll drop by your place to say hi!  I'd love to make this a great after hours project.  Always need an excuse to put SolidWorks on another project for the good!  Glad to have another fellow kayaker!  What Hobies do you have?

Bill

Some laser cuts in acrylic. The first is a bitmap trace in clear acrylic. I hastily drew in outside cutlines so the body shape is not right.

I spent 2 hrs last night vectorizing the JPG and moving all of the indivdual entities slightly apart so the resultant skeleton would not fall out after cutting. Here is the result in 3/16's thk black acrylic.
