Looking for feedback on Gore-Tex PACLITE material

Looks like most garments made with this material are unlined. Does anyone have any experience with the actual waterproof membrane on the inside becoming worn or damaged?

Any other feed back?

I'm on my way to Alaska for 2 weeks in late August and expect to get rained on allot. I may treat myself to a new set of rainware.   I think Gore Tex is still tops for waterproof/breathable garments but the PacLite stuff looks a little too lite weight.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

I have had a paclight dry top for 3 years and it has not came apart at all. Ive been very pleased with it. I love how light it is and how small it packs down.

I've got 2 paclite shells, one for hunting and one for backpacking. They are both unlined. My backpacking shell is probably 7 or 8 years old with no noticable wear. I do baby them though, as you said it's lighter weight material, and does feel more vulnerable. Just take care of it and I'm sure you'll be happy!

I don't have a Paclite, I do have the military Extreme Cold Weather System (ECWS), Pro's: layered system that works well to keep you warm, zippered arm pits help keep you cooler.  Con's:  I have never seen anyone with true goretex that wasn't noisy, goretex shells by themselves don't work so well in high wind.
