My Very First YT's courtesy of Kevin nakada of Sea Samurai Kayak Fishing :smt002
I learned about Kevin by reading a post by HamachiJohn on his trip to La Jolla last year and hooking up on Yellowtail.  Found out early this year that my family will be doing a trip to SD for a friend's daughter dedication and birthday party and  I figured I could not let this opportunity pass me by since I have never caught one and this would be the best opportunity to sneak out while  my wife is busy with friends and relatives :smt003  With permission granted months in advance, (yup not enough WAF points for a late request :smt009) I contacted Kevin for the guide.
I took the half day trip since I did not want to push my luck.  Initial conversation was that we would launch from around 6-8am but being the professional he is and knowing his YT's, he emailed me to inform me that the bite was way early than planned.  We had to be on the spot by 6am or we would miss the run or be overcrowded by other fishermans.  We met up at 4:30am, pedalled by 5:15, made bait by 5:40 and Fish On! :smt007 a little past 6am.  The Kid knows his stuff!  There were around 16 yaks and PBs combined with only 4 YTs landed, 2 of them being ours! :smt001  Met a yak fisherman on the beach before kevin arrived and he said Kevin will put us on top of fish and he was right. :smt003
I'm sure there are other guides out there but I highly recommend Sea Samurai! :smt007

Right on, Allan!  Great fish!  That's really cool that you hooked up with Kevin the Samurai - he seems to have a good thing going.  I think DrDave is hooking up with him soon too.  Congrats!   :smt001

That's what you call making use of your time and doing it!  Nice pair of fish you got there Alan!  Happy to see you score while down there!  Your asawa and relatives going to be happy campers when they get a taste of those big isda!
