Why do most of your posts about fishing in an area you have never fished make you sound like an ass? Oh yea, i forgot. You are Rob the fishing god. If you can troll 200' down efficiently, then come down and show us how. There are different ways to be effective in different areas, or have you not heard that?

Rub you the wrong way or your just jealous how easy it is for me.  Either way I back my shit up with results old man.  You guys couldnt last 12 hours and 20+ miles on the water. Maybe in an AI so you didnt have to do any work.  I cover more ground than you guys on your Hobies and now I have one of my own and I see how muich of an extra advantage it is, though I knew it would be all along. :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

Sure I will show you soon as I do plan on making a trip down there and getting in on some Cali hali and wsb.  Unlike many of yall rookies, I dont need anybody to show me the way.  I can find the info and get the job done on my own.  You shall see Bob. LOL :smt001  You guys really crack me up.  How many salmon have yall caught in the ocean on your kayak before this year?  Enough said jokers.  Unlike some folks here I lay it all out in front of you and dont hesitate to tell you how and where.  I will even hold your hand and show you how to do it, but yall dont have it in you to get up here.

Bob remember my words about Kayak Wars compare my public SC report to mr Salty's secret SC report and the pictures tell it all.  More species and bigger fish.  Oh and I easliy passed him, but I bet you guys go catch a bunch more of your lil lame bass in the lakes to make up some ground. :smt003

Alright, who started this? We should continue this on another thread.

 Nevermind.

Rob, I think before you talk out your ass anymore you need to learn a little more about me and what I paddle. Never been on a Hobie in my life. On any day when I troll I typically will cover over ten miles. I have never fished ocean Salmon until last Saturday when I was taught what to do by one of the most humble and talented fisherman you could ever meet, Scott (GB2). It took me one try to land one. I dont even like Salmon, so one is enough, just for the AOTY points.

I live 4 hours from any salt, so that is why you see very few ocean fish posted by me. I guess if I lived at the ocean and looked like I lived in a van down by the river, I would be able to be "as good as you are". Have you noticed salt water fish count as much as five times the fresh water fish do in Kayak Wars? You have 3 more fish than I do and fish how much more. Salt fish are easy to catch in numbers compared to fresh.

As far as keeping up with you, any day, any where. Bring your peddles and I'll paddle. I"ll be beside you all day long. You need to choose your endurance challenges a little better.

I have made good comments about you in the past about your catches, I just don't like to hear you are the only one that knows the right way to fish.

And one last thing, I guess if I was the only one that felt the way I do about my first statement this thread would not be as long as it is. Where are you in AOTY?

I'm done now. Unless it ends up in the street.

A few years ago I was on a long range trip on the Royal Polaris. I was traveling solo so didn't know who I would bunk with. The guy I ended up bunking with was Corky Yokoye. I didn't know who he was but he spent a week teaching me the art of catching giant tuna. I had fished long range for 15 years before that trip so not a rookie for sure but I learned so much from him. On that trip he never talked about his records or how many cows he had caught. It was several years later that I read an article about him and found out. Bottom line is that the really great anglers don't brag about their catches or put down newbies, they teach others to be better.

+1 Scott.  It's all about the PIF, power of the brotherhood and the fun of learning something new all the while doing something we love, fishing.  Wish I could have spent a little time fishing with you at the PIF event.

Bottom line is that the really great anglers don't brag about their catches or put down newbies, they teach others to be better.

Maybe if yall read my salmon report out of Trinidad a couple weeks ago you would have read that I called a bunch of folks up and managed to get a buddy who had been kayakfishing for 3 days on a rental Outback from Pacific Outfitters on his first ever salmon and now he is hooked.  I even gave him my rig to use and paddled with him out there showing him how to troll for them.  He didnt have a net either and even though he didnt stay near me, when he had his salmon I pulled my line and got my ass over there to help him land his salmon.  Not to mention I helped land that salmon at Albion last year since nobody had a net big enough nor did anyone around know the difference from a king or a coho.  Also it was caught with a barbed jig and I told him its his call on keeping it.

Im glad yall got a laugh out of me cause I think its funny too.  I can laugh at myself otherwise I wouldnt bother posting pics of me with my big mangled hair that I finally got cut today after missing 2 appointments because I was out fishing too long.  For any of yall who have actually talked to me much in person might know that most of the stuff yall said above isnt true.

Having played competively in baseball, basketball, soccer, football, rugby and ultimate frisbee has given me a competitive personality, but when it all comes down to it I want the person or persons I may be competing with to push the bar higher.

Again this cracks me up how a little bit of busting your balls about salmon fishing gets yall so worked up.  Time to smoke a big Humboldt phatty of some Girl Scout Cookie.   :smt001 :smt044 :smt044
