170-200 FOW 10-20 ft off the bottom. Look for bait on the bottom, not bait balls. Bring a full tray or 2 of herring, the sand dabs are like pirranha.

I want to see the 1st NCKA salmon seabass combo! The squid were hella thick in 100fow off San Carlos beach yesterday afternoon when the wind picked up. I'm not sure what the regs say about using a sabiki (to jig squid) with a salmon onboard. But I have seen barbless circle hook sabikis in the store...cut it down to 2 flies and you're legal either way.
