Thinkin about WSB and Hali, thinkin about trying to hookup w/ someone who may be going to Capitola and goin after WSB and has a shark shield...according to Norcal Fishing News:

White sea bass are gorging on spawning squid. Halibut bite is picking up in front of the Santa Cruz Harbor and off Soquel Point. Halibut are in 40 to 55 feet of water. Halibut to 27 pounds are being caught. Sea bass are straight out of Capitola. A 65 pounder was caught last week. Capitola Boat & Bait (831) 462-2208

would have to convince Mr. Moody since he is my transportation, just putting it out there, maybe we should start a shark shield hookup header?

Never been in Capitola, is there any boat ramp over there? Good luck and be safe.  :smt006

No ramp, but the wharf acts as a nice breakwater during reasonable swell conditions.  If the launch there is sketchy, conditions in general are probably not favorable.  Sunday should be nice though.

I heard that the WSB bite has shut off at Capitola. Is that true?

Not completely shut off, but not WFO. Best way to check is this site: http://capitolaboatandbait.com/fishing-report
The guys who rent skiffs on the piers take pictures of most if not all incoming catches.
